Senokot is an effective laxative made from naturally derived senna and comes in 100 tablet packs. Senokot may be used during pregnancy for the relief of occasional constipation. During breast-feeding, take only moderate doses.

Senokot is an effective yet gentle way to relieve the pain and discomfort caused by constipation. Take this Senokot with a drink of water. Use the directions below unless prescribed otherwise by your doctor.

Each Senokot tablet contains senn fruit alexandrian powder 154mg standardised to contain sennosides calculated as sennoside B 7.5mg

Senokot is a reliably effective laxative made with naturally derived senna, treated especially to yield a constant amount of active ingredient in each dose.

Directions

Adults and children over 12 years: 2-4 tablets daily. Children 7-12 years: 1-2 tablets daily at bedtime or as prescribed by your doctor. Children 2-6 years: Given only on Doctor's advice.

Warnings and Cautions

• Drink plenty of water and increase the amount of fibre in your diet.
• Laxatives should not be used for extended periods of time as they can cause dependence. If after three days of treatment a bowel action has not occurred please consult your doctor.
• If you have nausea, are vomiting or have abdominal pain do not use Senokot.
• Mild griping may occur temporarily when adjusting dosages.
• If a bowel action does not occur after three days of repeated treatment, consult your doctor.
• Do not use when abdominal pain, nausea or vomitting are present.
• If you are pregnant or breast feeding seek medical advice before taking.
