Aspec is used to inhibit blood clotting and reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes in patients with blood vessel disorders. Aspec's 75mg dose is smaller than you would need to take for a headache or other pain and the enteric coating prevents aspirin from being released in the stomach and reduces the chance of the aspirin upsetting the stomach. This is achieved because enteric-coated Aspec is designed to dissolve in the small intestine rather than the stomach.
